College Students spend a lot of time surfing on the internet world through computers. Most of them have different preferences and interpretations of internet messages, but few studies concern about this fact in campus.

The purpose of this study is trying to examine if there is no difference in college students’ preference and interpretation of internet messages in terms of their gender..

The study used the methods of qualitative and participatory observation in the "Visual Psychology" course classroom. The author observed and recorded the reactions as students received the messages from internet. and also employed in-depth interview method on a total of 12 college students, half male and half female, asking them to answer some questions., each for 2 ~ 3 times for 2 ~ 3 hours each time.

The results of the study showed: it has a significant gender difference of preferences and interpretations of internet messages among college students. For example, most of female students are very concerned about the meaning of messages to express what is in the end, especially to be able to touch the hearts of the moving point. On the contrary, most male students like messages which are full of fun and entertainment.

The results of this study can provide advice for teachers to prepare different networks of teaching materials according to different internet interpretations of students’ gender differences. Based on the results of this study, teachers can use suitable teaching strategies to enhance teaching quality and teaching effectiveness.
