[摘要] :
在西方基督文明中，聖吳甦樂會是天主教的修會之一，修會是由聖安琪．梅芝於1535年在義大利所創辦，宗旨在透過教育的方式傳揚基督福音；1958年，一些修會的會士來到臺灣，她們先後在花蓮創辦海星女中、私立若瑟小學，之後在高雄創辦文藻女子專科學校（今文藻外語大學）。在中國文明中，儒家思想是傳承堯、舜、禹、湯、文、武、周公之道統，後人尊奉孔子為至聖先師。本文試圖從教育作為研究途徑，探討儒家思想與吳甦樂教育在臺灣的相遇；在研究中發現，雖然二者在時間、空間與文明存在著許多差異，然而，當它們在臺灣不期而遇之後，卻在有教無類、因材施教與教育層次等教育面向上，呈現出顯著的共鳴，而非文明的衝突。

Roman Union of the Order of St. Ursula is one of the Catholic religious congregations of Western Christian civilization. Founded by St. Angela Merici in 1535 in Italy, Ursulines preach the gospel of Christ by education. In 1958, four missionaries of Ursulines came to Taiwan, and successively founded Haixing Girls’ High School, private Joseph Primary School and Wenzao Girls’ College (now Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages). Confucianism is the core of Chinese civilization. It inherits the branches of Yao, Shun, Yu, Tang, Wen, Wu, and Zhougong. People respect Confucius as the most sacred teacher. This article attempts to explore the background, concept and purpose of Confucianism and Ursuline education from the perspective of education. The research found that although both of Confucianism and Ursuline education have considerable differences in terms of time, space, and society, they have remarkable resonances in the three aspects of “no distinction of education”, “teaching in accordance with students’ aptitude”, and “education levels”.
