English listening and speaking L1-P.4.5

1.Someone once said that getting to know a person over time is like peeling the layers of an onion. Have you ever peeled an onion? How might this be like getting to know a person better and better over time?

No, I haven't. But I agree with that idea! The longer knowing a person, the more things you will know about him or her. The person and I would experience different kinds of things if we get to know each other for a long time!

3. Has your study of English changed you in any way? If so, how? Share your answers to the following questions and give specific examples.

I became willing to interact with teachers. It has made me more courious, confindent and friendlier! Furthermore, I am not afraid of asking questions in the classes any more.

(2) Has it made you more or less critical of how people speak your native language? In what wyas?

Yes, it has made me less critical of foreingers speak my mother tongue. I used to thinking that foriegners were funny when they spoke Mandarin. As I learned English, I realized that it was not funny at all!

It has not made me more tolerant of other cultures. It has made me more appriciative of other cultures! It also has made me understand that we need to respect to different cultures.

Sometimes, we think Americans are rude because what they said are too directly. Actually, Americans aren't. We can understand different cultures by learning their languages.
