[英文摘要] :
Every year, the bus companies consume millions liters of fuel, and their fuel costs often exceed hundreds of millions of dollars. Therefore, how to reduce fuel consumption has become an important issue for all of the bus companies. Facing this challenge, the encouragement by rewarding them with momentary bonus will be a practical motivation to those drivers for eco-driving behaviour as well asthe cognitive belief. The aim of this study is to explore the effects of incentive factors of such “reward system” that will correlate with the behaviour of eco-driving. This study collects the data of fuel-efficiency before and after the “reward system” implementation. Furthermore, this study adopts the theory of planned behavior and personality characteristics to construct the multi-group structural equation model. The results on average fuel consumption per kilometer for the buses before and after the “reward system” show approximately 7.58% reduction in fuel saving per km. Also, changes in “intention” has insignificant positive effects on raising efficiencies in fuel consumption. After the implementation of fuel efficiency incentives, drivers with “Internal Control Personality Characteristics” had better fuel economy responses than those with “External Control Personality Characteristics”.
