The video named “Marine Debris Governance in Taiwan” begins with introducing Taiwan as a place with diverse and rich marine resources that have nurtured generations of people and brought tremendous social, cultural, and economic developments. The audience will also see the images of the beautiful outlying islands of Penghu that charmed the world and became a member of the “Most Beautiful Bays in the World” organization. However, the main content of the video is about how Taiwan is facing the serious problem of marine pollution. Specifically, the video shows how the government and environmental NGOs are working together to find solutions for handling ocean plastics and marine debris. This presentation will introduce the process of making this video. The audience will learn how production decisions were made to present certain images and perspectives related to the topic. The difficulties and challenges that the production team has to face will be discussed. Furthermore, the presentation will also acknowledge many individuals and organizations that offered their assistance for the completion of this visual representation.
