Evaluation Outcomes of Group Supersion at College Counseling & Guidance Centers
Abstract
This study aims to explore the actual contents and operational models of supervision systems in counseling centers in universities and colleges in Taiwan. It is hoped that after understanding the aforementioned sites of practice and results of relevant literature research, comprehensive supervision systems in counseling centers can be constructed. Based on these study objectives, the researcher will employ a multi-method design (Morse, 2003), taking purposive samplings in the invitation of research subjects, choosing directors and counseling teachers of counseling centers who have been ranked outstanding in counseling by Taiwan Guidance and Counseling Association as research subjects. At the same time domestic and foreign supervision systems in counseling centers will be included in a review of the relevant literature to create a comprehensive supervision system in counseling centers. After the preliminary construction, experts and scholars will be consulted to modify the supervision system.
The research results will help to obtain an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the content and operational methods of supervision systems in counseling centers in universities and colleges in Taiwan, and construct the supervision system suited to counseling centers, so that school counseling can become even more professional, in turn protecting the rights of the students and promoting the professional development of counseling teachers, allowing them to continue their personal development in their work.
