[摘要] :
本論文試圖構築拼布技藝與世紀短篇故事解讀之互動平台。本文主要從三篇美國十九世紀後期發表的短篇故事出發，向外與拼布織品共構論述界面。全文首先從當時最受歡迎的拼布樣式—瘋狂拼布（crazy quilt）出發，選入三篇均以女性為主要敘事中心且與瘋狂拼布相關的短篇故事，討論其中的日常生活小事敘述，與其中莫名、突然的偶發事件之交織，進而與瘋狂拼布的釉裂（craze）相呼應，並印證拼布故事中日常生活的敘事和偶發事件的雙聲論述特色可為二十世紀女權大鳴大放之開端。
[英文摘要] :
This paper intends to construct an interacting platform between quilt the craftsmanship
and interpretative perspectives in nineteenth century American short stories. Three short
stories published in the late nineteenth century are selected to seek for further interweaving
and interconnection. The paper firstly talks about one of the most popular quilt patterns,
crazy quilt. Next, the paper asserts the interaction between the daily life narrative and
incidents in three selected stories and the craze patterns in crazy quilt. By so doing, this
paper expounds the importance of the daily life issues in quilt stories of the nineteenth
century may be the prologue of the women liberation of the next century.
