Course
Description
This course is designed to improve students’ English reading, writing, listening, and speaking through different topics and articles related to the media. This course teaches students terminologies and knowledge of the media. This course also cultivates students to have humanity capacity and helps students to have international view in the globalization age.

Objectives 1. Students will understand English terminologies of the media.
2. Students will gain media knowledge through the language of English.
3. Students will improve their English reading, listening, writing, and speaking.
4. Students will be able to apply words they learn to their life and work.
5. Students will appreciate life experience and realize life meaning through articles and videos.
評量方式與評分比例分配
Evaluation
Criteria 1. Class Attendance (課堂出席) + In-class Performance/Practice (課堂表現與練習) 30%
2. Assignments (作業) 20 %
3. Oral Presentation (口頭團體報告2次) 50%
課堂要求
Course
Requirements & Policies 1. If you are late to class for 15 minutes, your participation grade for that time is 0. One time one report.
上課超過15 分鐘進教室的同學算遲到, 當次參與成績0.
2. If you ask for absence too many times, your overall participation
grade will be deducted.
請假太多,參與成績總分會被扣分.
3. Cell phones must be turned off or silent during class.
上課手機要關機或静音
4. Must participate in class discussions and activities.
一定要參與課堂的討論活動
5. If you have to make up an assignment, you must do it by the due day. If you do so, only 10-15 points of your assignment will be deducted. If you do not do so, your assignment is 0.
作業需補交者(不含遲到作業), 在給予的期限內補交, 分數斟酌扣分10-15分, 超過給予的補交期限, 不予補交. 該作業為0分.
6. You must present in the scheduled time. No chance to make up. If your group forgets to present, your presentation grade is 0.
團體報告一定要在指定的時間上台, 沒有補報告的機會, 因此若是沒在指
定時間報告，整組為0 分.
