Obstacles of 12-year compulsory education
In the summer of 2014, 12-year compulsory education will begin carrying out. Government organizations, parents, students and others have different views about 12-year compulsory education. Actually, it caused lots of controversy. Today, I just name a few obstacles in this education system. The first obstacle is the budget of tuition. Because of free tuition, government has to spend more expenditure on it. However, the source of expenditure is unstable. Still, we have other spending on education. The second one is the competitions. This kind of situations will get more and more serious because students’ performances in school are the parts of evaluation of grades which is one policy of 12-year compulsory education system. Consequently, they may compare with others more easily. The finial one is lack of the motivation of learning. When 12-year compulsory education gets to start, the syllabus will become easier. Due to no pressures from examinations, students’ motivation of learning and enthusiasm for learning knowledge will decrease. Therefore, 12-year compulsory may cause the quality of education go down.
