My Parents

My parents are totally different from each other. They have different interests, different habits, and different characteristics. Although people say that two persons with incompatible personalities are not likely to get together for a long time, my parents do not agree with it. My mother said, “Some couples get along well with each other because they have different traits. In fact, those with same personalities tend to magnify the others flaw. They’ve already hate themselves for their own weakness, so they will be more furious if they see another person with the same problem.” The relationship between my parents is like magnets: Opposites attract.
My father always drives because my mother can’t manage either a scooter or a car. He kind of enjoys it by saying he’s got a beauty inside of his car. As for my mother, she expresses her need for my father by comparing herself as a grand lady who needs a body guard and a personal driver. On the other hand, my father has a poor sense of direction, so he often relies on my mother. That is to say, my parents have to stick together from time to time. Another difference between them is that my father likes traveling and eating but my mother prefers staying home. My father is always dragging my mother out of the house and my mother is always pulling my father back, which efficiently balanced their life. They sometimes have conflicts but they don’t fight. The need for each other to draw them close together.
The complementary relationship works well with my parents. They prove that persons with incompatible personalities can stick together like magnets. In fact, their differences make them need and appreciate each other.
